Lawson State
Community College is a comprehensive community college offering over 50 programs
of study in the areas of academic transfer, allied health, business, technical,
and transportation. Classes are taught days, evenings, weekends, and online
providing academic education for transfer to four-year colleges and universities
and skill training specifically designed to meet the occupational goals of
students and employment needs of businesses and industries of central Alabama. Lawson State has an enrollment of approximately
over 6,000 students in its College Transfer, Career Technical, and Non-Credit
Divisions.

Adjunct Positions
Adjunct Instructors Needed
Lawson State Community College
is looking adjunct (part-time) instructors in the
following areas: mathematics, English, speech,
drama/theater, reading, history, chemistry, biology,
psychology, sociology, and physics. Adjuncts with
flexible hours - day, evening, and weekend- are
desired. The minimum qualifications for transfer
program instructors include a master degree in the
teaching field or a master degree with a minimum of
eighteen graduate hours in the teaching field.
Additionally, adjunct instructors are needed in the
Career Technical education division in the following
areas: automotive sales, interior design, fashion
design, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, CNC and
machine tool technology, automotive technician. The
minimum qualifications for career technical program
instructors include but not limited to an associate
degree, certification in the specialty area, and/or
licensure. For more information, interested persons

in Accounting (Day Only).
Computer Science -
Must have at least 18 hours of coursework (graduate level)
in Computer Science and knowledgeable of Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and
PowerPoint. (Day Only).

Automotive Instructors
The Alabama Center for Automotive
Excellence is currently seeking part-time evening and/or weekend instructors
to teach automotive technology.
ASE certification required.
Instructors are expected to assist in
maintaining requirements of NATEF standards.
The Alabama Center for Automotive Excellence is
a division of Lawson State Community College.
Diesel Instructors
The Alabama Center for Automotive
Excellence is currently seeking part-time evening and/or weekend instructors
to teach diesel technology.
ASE certification required.
Instructors are expected to assist in
maintaining requirements of NATEF standards.
The Alabama Center for Automotive Excellence is
a division of Lawson State Community College.
Auto
Body Instructors
The Alabama Center for Automotive
Excellence is currently seeking part-time evening and/or weekend instructors
to teach auto body technology.
ASE or I-CAR certification required.
Instructors are expected to assist in
maintaining requirements of NATEF standards.
