Admission as a Transient Student

 

It's All Here at Lawson State Community College!

 

 

 

Transient Status Student Defined:

 

A student who is attending / seeking a degree from another institution, but wishes to attend LSCC for one term.


 

A student enrolled at another institution may secure permission from that institution to enroll at Lawson State Community College as a transient student by submitting an Application for Admission and a Transient Student Form completed by an official of the primary institution.  Transient students ARE NOT required to submit official  transcripts of their previously earned credits at other postsecondary institutions.

 

Steps for Enrollment:

  1. Complete and submit a completed application for admission form.
  2. Have Transient Status Letter (a.k.a. - Letter of Good Standing) sent to our Admissions Office by the Registrar's Office at your residential institution. 
  3. After receiving admission confirmation from the Admissions Office, register for the appropriate class by visiting a counselor or by using the LSCC Global Suite - Online Registration.  See the class schedule for instructions.      
  4. Pay applicable tuition / fees.
